If Only Everyone Were Like Me!

How can we build a church community where people worship together across cultural and language barriers? We are all different – and that’s a good thing! Different cultures and languages reflect God’s creativity and diversity as our Creator. When we don’t just tolerate our differences but actually celebrate them, we show the world what real love looks like (John 13:35).
To get there, we need to get to know each other, value our differences – and be intentional about reaching out. Our goal should be unity in diversity. And that only works when everyone gets involved.

Joachim and Luciene Junginger drove almost all the way to the Dutch border last week to lead a seminar on “Understanding Cultures.” They gave hands-on input about where cultural differences show up and how we can handle them well. The truth is, there’s no perfect culture. Every culture has its strengths and weaknesses – and all of them need God’s redemption. As Christians, we have the chance to meet one another at the foot of the cross and grow together.
Joachim & Luciene are happy to come to your church, too!
