PCYFM
The School of Principles in Child, Youth and Family Ministry (PCYFM) is a five-month training course designed to take your ministry to the next level. Deepen your relationship with God and gain practical tools to strengthen your calling in children’s, youth, and family ministry.
What is a PCYFM?

A PCYFM is an intensive three-month training school followed by a practical outreach phase. It is designed for adults of all ages who have a heart for children, young people, and families, and who sense God’s calling to invest in the next generation.
The course consists of two parts:
-
Lecture Phase (12 weeks)
-
Outreach Phase (8 weeks) in smaller teams and different locations
The school is offered in both English and German.
Trained to Serve
Teaching, hands-on ministry, mentoring, worship, and prayer are all designed to help you grow stronger in your calling and gain a deeper understanding of God’s heart for children and young people.
A PCYFM school is registered as a course with the University of the Nations (UofN). Students who have previously completed a DTS (Discipleship Training School) and successfully complete the PCYFM will receive one academic credit per week.

Lecture Phase (12 weeks)
Our speakers bring diverse experiences and a wide range of professional backgrounds in working with children, youth, and families. In addition to classroom teaching, there will be workshops where you can apply what you learn and adapt it to your own ministry context.
Academic assignments such as book reports, Bible studies, and presentations will help you go deeper into each topic. Throughout the course, you will also be accompanied by an experienced staff member who will mentor and support you personally.

Outreach Phase (8 weeks)
There is no better way to create lasting impact and strengthen what you have learned than by putting it into practice. After the lecture phase, we offer an outreach phase which, while not required for UofN accreditation, is strongly recommended.
Together with your team, you will support local churches and ministries in the outreach location, encourage and train children’s and youth leaders, and share what you have learned within a different cultural setting.
