Team and Structure of YWAM Hainichen

The staff team and their families in 2012

The team in Hainichen currently consists of approx. 27 full-time and approx.15 associate or freelance staff members. Although most team members come from Germany we also have the following nationalities represented: Switzerland, South Korea, the Philippines, USA, Brazil and Chile.

In addition to the adults we have some 30+ children under the age of 18 that belong to our community.

Structure of our ministries

    • Care

We run local ministries in the area of family and children education that reach out to people who need help in their relationships at home. For this purpose we have started a family center as a new project.

    • Campus

We have been running DTS and Family Ministry Schools, but we are planning to expand the range of UofN courses offered on our campus in the near future.

    • Connect

We have much interaction with local people through the kindergarten, the Family Workshop and other programs. Most people here are brought up either agnostic or atheist. We seek to share Jesus through our friendships and also start and support cell groups for fresh believers.

    • Community

Even though our activities and ministries are very diverse – they are born out of the place of community before the cross. We place high value on worshipping God and praying and listening together.

The overall structure of our ministry is based on YWAM's three-fold approach

  1. Evangelism
  2. Training
  3. Mercy Ministries

First circle: caring for people

We run local ministries in the area of family and children education that reach out to people who need help in their relationships at home. For this purpose we have started a family center as a new project.

Second circle: train and equip

We have been running DTS and Family Ministry Schools, but we are planning to expand the range of UofN courses offered on our campus in the near future.

Third circle: share Jesus

We have much interaction with local people through the kindergarten, the ropes course and other programs. Most people here are brought up either agnostic or atheist. We seek to share Jesus through our friendships and also start and support cell groups for fresh believers.

At the center: the community

Even though our activities and ministries are very diverse – they are born out of the place of community before the cross. We place high value on worshipping God and praying and listening together.
